                               WARNING!

HALF the people who believe they are saved AREN'T!

Matthew 7:21. " Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.      v22. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?       v23. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:

  1. depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

  2.
  3. Matthew 25:1.  Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
v2. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
  4.      v3. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
v4. But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
v5. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
v6. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
v7. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
v8. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
v9. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
v10. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
v11. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
  5.     v12. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
v13. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
  6. How can this be?
  7. There are several possibilities, but lets look at the most common.
  8.   A. The example of Nicodemus
  9.     ( John 3:1. There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
v.2. The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
v3. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
  10.      v4. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
v5. Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
  11.      v6. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
v7. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Nicodemus was a highly educated, ruler over the Jews. His education and credentials caused others as well as himself to think he was a Christian. Jesus however, confronted Nicodemus with the fact, that, no one, who has not been born spiritually into God's family will ever see the Kingdom of God.
  12.   B. The example of this preacher.
  13.        I visited church as a 10 year old boy with some friends. During the invitation that was given, someone asked me if I wanted to go to Heaven. Of course, I said "yes". They sent me down to the front where a man took me aside to another room. He proceeded to talk to me, but the conversation was way over my head. He then told me to pray. Not knowing what to say, I just sat there. He asked if I needed help and I told him I did. He then commenced to lead me through a prayer using words and terms I did not understand. Upon leaving the room, he took me to the preacher and told me to tell him what had happened. I replied, "What happened?" He told the preacher I had been saved. Everyone around was excited for me and congratulated me. I believed what they told me, however, I never even understood what supposedly happened. Many years later, I came to the realization, I did not truly have understanding that night, and wisely "made sure" I was saved as taught in  II Corinthians 13:5 and  II Peter 1:10. (We will discuss these verses at the end of this paragraph.)
  14.   C. Many people attend churches where the Gospel is not taught, and therefore assume they are a Christian due to their church affiliation or good works. However, Ephesians 2:8-9 make it very clear, one cannot earn Heaven by his works or good life.
  15.   Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
  16.   v9. Not of works, lest any man should boast.
  17. Therefore, The Bible COMMANDS us to make SURE we are truly saved.....
  18.  2 Corinthians 13:5   EXAMINE yourselves, WHETHER ye be in the faith; PROVE your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
  19. 2 Peter 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give DILIGENCE to make your calling and election SURE: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
  20.      These Verses clearly teach, that is possible for people to be deceived about being saved., and therefore instructs us to examine ourselves (think it through) and prove (to ourselves) we are truly saved. What really happened on the day you believe you were saved? Do you even remember? Maybe you do not know the date, but you should know the place and what you understood about salvation. Is Christ truly IN you? Have you received Him?)
  21.     John 1:12  As many as RECEIVED Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God
  22.  If you are not absolutely sure, MAKE SURE!
  23. One makes sure, by Praying to God and telling Him you are not sure, but want to be sure. Tell Him you know your are a sinner, and can't come to Heaven without having your sins paid for by the shed blood of Christ on Calvary, and ask Him to save you!
  24.      Romans 10:13  For whosoever shall CALL upon the name of the Lord SHALL be saved!
  25.
